Understanding to act: providing keys to understanding our environment in a fun and scientific way, within an engaged community.
WHO ARE WE ?
Founded in October 2021, ESE (Environment and Sustainability Education) is a Luxembourgish association born from a simple conviction: we protect best what we understand. We raise awareness of environmental issues among all types of audiences through participatory workshops (murals, games, group challenges) based on recognized scientific sources, such as the reports of the IPCC and IPBES.
Our workshops are conducted in French, English, German, and Luxembourgish, in schools, businesses, municipalities, and at events open to everyone, in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. Five years after its creation, ESE has around fifty facilitators and nearly 200 members.

Frédéric CONROTTE, President
Passionate about science and education, I am convinced that environmental education is part of the solution for a sustainable future. Through my involvement in our association, I hope to contribute to giving all generations the knowledge and critical thinking skills necessary to understand the major scientific and environmental challenges of our time.
Marie-Alix DALLE, secretary
Passionate about science, I seize every opportunity to share this enthusiasm and communicate on topics close to my heart. Through SparkLab, I create fun and hands-on workshops to help people understand the world around us.
Julien GANNARD, treasurer
As a founding member of the association, I contribute through my commitment to raising awareness of murals in general, and education about climate change and biodiversity loss in particular, as well as solutions to address these issues. The approach is scientific and rational, which aligns with my engineering background.
THE COMMUNITY
Facilitators, volunteers, curious minds: ESE brings together people who want to understand and take action, in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. We meet for training sessions, workshops, and gatherings (serious or otherwise).
